This is how the Premier League form table looks on Friday morning.

Newcastle United now 16 weeks into their season.

A busy time with already 21 games played this season in all competitions.

A packed schedule with United playing every midweek as well as weekends, other than during the ‘breaks’ for internationals.

Now into December, it is Newcastle v Burnley on Saturday, a 3pm kick-off.

Here is the updated Premier League form table on Friday 5 December 2025, which covers the past six matches for all teams:

The last six PL results for Newcastle United with very latest one listed first:

Newcastle 2 Spurs 2

Everton 1 Newcastle 4

Newcastle 2 Man City 1

Brentford 3 Newcastle 1

West Ham 3 Newcastle 1

Newcastle 2 Fulham 1

As you can see, Newcastle United are eighth in this newly updated Premier League form table.

In the Premier League form table over the last half dozen, NUFC with ten points from three wins, one draw and two defeats, with twelve goals scored and eleven conceded.

As for Newcastle’s opponents on Saturday, these are the last six PL matches that Burnley have played, the very most recent listed first:

Burnley 0 Palace 1

Brentford 3 Burnley 1

Burnley 0 Chelsea 2

West Ham 3 Burnley 2

Burnley 0 Arsenal 2

Wolves 2 Burnley 3

So Burnley second bottom in the Premier League form table with three points from one win, no draws and five defeats, scoring six and conceding thirteen.

This is how the full Premier League table currently now looks on the morning of Friday 5 December 2025:

As you can see, Burnley are second bottom of both the Premier League form table and the full Premier League table.

With the Premier League so tight at the moment, Newcastle United are thirteenth BUT only five points off top four.

Only three teams have picked up more points than Newcastle United in these last half dozen PL games and in the last three fixtures, Villa have picked up nine points, Newcastle and Arsenal seven each, then the other 17 clubs picking up six or less.

Burnley are still battling but look to have a lack of real quality at both ends of the pitch, losing all of their last five PL matches and their only success in the last half dozen, getting a win over the only team below them in both tables, rock bottom Wolves.

A perfect opportunity for Newcastle United to get back on the winning trail, an opportunity they need to grab with both hands.
