The Thomas Frank Newcastle United press conference has taken place.

Attention now switches to Tuesday night and facing Eddie Howe’s side, as the two sides hope to move into the top half of the table.

Thomas Frank on team news for the Newcastle United match (Cristian Romero is also available having served a one-game suspension):
“Everyone that was in the Fulham squad is ready for Newcastle.”
Thomas Frank asked about the reaction from Spurs fans after the latest defeat to Fulham:
“We are nothing without our fantastic fans.
“We need them. We need each other.”
Thomas Frank on speaking to fans
“I will consider a lot of things.
“There are two ways – performing and connecting.
“Connecting is a lot of things. In general, I always believe in dialogue…”
“Every game, I’m pretty sure every fan wants to win and support, if it’s not going to plan some get more frustrated than others, there’s always some that shout louder than others.
“How much is it if you talk about (losing support) – five, 10, 15 per cent? We’d like to get 100 per cent on board.”
Thomas Frank on Newcastle United and Eddie Howe:
“Newcastle are very good.
“I admire Eddie and his team and what they have done.
“It is a difficult place to go to.
“They have won their last six home games. Good but not unbeatable.”
Thomas Frank on Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade:
“Nick Woltemade has done very well.
“He has got the physicality but he also offers something different, dropping down to link the play for them.”
Thomas Frank on goalkeeper Vicario, was got stick from the Spurs fans when blamed as a big factor in Saturday’s defeat to Fulham:
“I spoke with him and asked how he was.
“He said he was okay.
“He is a good player to deal with when it is setbacks like that, how you deal with mistakes is a big part of how good you become as a player.
“Vic is remarkable.
“His character is fantastic in every aspect.
“It is about how you carry yourself every day, in the good time and bad times, and he is very consistent in that way.
“Everyone can make mistakes but the way he carries himself impressed me very much.”
Thomas Frank on Xavi Simons who has struggled since he arrived this summer:
“There is a reason why we have Xavi here.
“I think he is a very good player. He has trained very well.
“It is not the first time a player has stepped into the Premier League and needs a bit of adaptation.”
Thomas Frank on formation changes:
“For me it is the guiding principles that is the most important thing…these will almost always be the same no matter the formation.”
Thomas Frank on resilience and character:
“Every game, players make small mistakes.
“Sometimes you don’t get punished but it’s how you keep going no matter what.”
